Bill served his nation proudly in the United States Air Force and later started and served as president of Compton Contracting Company which he dedicated his life to. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Connie Viers, and his brother, Don Compton.īill was a true gentle mountain man whose passion and spirit was evident to all who knew him. He is committed to his long-time girlfriend, Charo Bishop, who is a wonderful woman. He was born August 12, 1936, son of Willy Floyd and Lacey Compton. Parkis Bill Compton, 75, lost his courageous fight against pancreatic cancer at home with his family and entered the gates of heaven on October 1, 2011.
